    MMA vs boxing

Would a guy that does MMA once a week beat a boxer who trains all week

Cuz I think the MMA guy kills the boxer

Only if the boxer has zero knowledge of the ground or clinch game, if the boxer even knows basic grappling defense, basically how to sprawl, how to check a leg kick, and a couple submission defenses then no. Training once a week is not enough to become proficient at boxing let alone MMA which incorporates so much more, the MMA guy would be basically entirely using his grappling in this scenario. Because we would have to figure in that one day he trains will likely only train an hour on his striking, an hour on his grappling, an hour on strength and conditioning, etc.
