Thiruvananthapuram: Civil police officer found dead in his house

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man employed as a civil police officer was found dead in his residence at Poovar here on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Shibu, son of Varghese, 50. He was a civil police officer at Kanjirakulam police station.
According to police, he was on medical leave and was undergoing treatment for cardiac related ailments. He was a divorcee and was living alone in his house at Poovar.
On Sunday the neighbours reported about rotten smell emanating from the house. The police team reached the spot and found Shibu lying face down in the bed.
The body had begun to rot. Police completed the inquest procedures. The body has been shifted to Medical college mortuary. The police said that no suicide note was found from the room. Besides they also couldn't discover any pill or poison from the room.
