COVID-19 treatment is currently free in public hospitals in kerala and is available at subsidized rates in private hospitals accredited by the karunya Arogya Suraksha Padhathi (KASP). The government has stated that after a patient's discharge from a hospital accredited under KASP, it will reimburse a fixed rate. More private hospitals were invited to join the panel by the chief minister.

The government has agreed to raise the number of beds at the thiruvananthapuram Medical college Hospital. Navjot Khosa, the district collector, ordered that by april 30th, 1,400 additional beds be made available for vital COVID-19 patients. thiruvananthapuram has reported over 2,200 cases/day for the past few days.

Non-COVID 19-related therapies have also been subjected to certain restrictions at thiruvananthapuram MCH. The hospital will delay non-emergency surgeries and treatments. For COVID-19 patients alone, the district administration has requested the MCH to have at least 250 ICU beds and 100 ventilators. Furthermore, each department in MCH will only allow 200 out-patients to consult each day. Patients' caregivers who don't adhere to  COVID-19 protocol will be asked to leave.
