SRH vs DC in IPL 2021: Kane Williamson slams fifty, shows what SRH were missing in batting- Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Kane Williamson has smashed a fifty in his second innings of IPL 2021. He smashed his 16th fifty while playing against Delhi Capitals at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The right-handed batsman had smashed 16 not out for SRH as they won their first match in IPL 2021. On Sunday, he continued his top run and showed his class by rescuing SRH after the early dismissal of skipper David Warner.

Williamson smashed his half-century off just 42 balls with the help of 6 boundaries

It is notable that Kane Williamson kept his wicket when the middle order was getting out like a pack of cards- a big concern for SRH in run chases this IPL season.

Williamson had missed few opening matches of IPL 2021 as he was not 100 per cent fit. The New Zealand skipper had suffered an elbow injury ahead of the limited-overs home series against Bangladesh.

His absence hurt SRH in a big manner as they ended up losing all their first three matches.

Williamson is part of current generations ‘Fab 4’, alongside Virat Kohli, Steve Smith and Joe Root. Among a host of virtues, he brings consistency and composure. He might be a natural Test batsman, but his prowess to adapt to any style of cricket has been on display on multiple occasions.

On a track like Chepauk, at times it becomes imperative to play as late as possible and use the depth of the crease well, which Williamson is adept at.
