SRH vs DC super over: Kane Williamson’s heroics lead to first super over of IPL 2021- An excellent batting performance led to the first super over of the Indian Premier League but it was DC who won the super over. Both SRH and DC ended up scoring 159 in their allotted 20 overs. SRH required 16 runs off the final over but they could manage 15 runs as Kane Williamson (66 off 51 balls) got the support R Suchith (14 runs off 6 deliveries. Williamson smashed his half-century off just 42 balls with the help of 6 boundaries.

SRH needed 28 runs off the final 12 deliveries with wickets falling at regular intervals.

Batting first,  Half-century from Prithvi Shaw and a 37-run knock from skipper Rishabh Pant helped Delhi Capitals post 159/4 in their allotted 20 overs against SunRisers Hyderabad.

In reply, SRH managed 157/7 in their 20 overs. Apart from Kane Williamson, Jonny Bairstow smashed 38 runs off just 18 balls. All the other batsman except Suchith failed to reach double figures. Heading into the match, SRH had won only 1 match in the first four matches of IPL 2021.
