AGRA: About 40 private ambulance operators on Saturday blocked roads in UP's
Mathura to protest against non-availability of oxygen from distributors in the town.
However, the district authorities claimed that they have 24-hour back-up of oxygen supply and there was no need to panic.
UP Ambulance Operator Welfare Association’s Mathura unit president Shiv Kumar claimed that ambulances have been parked for the past three days as they have not received enough oxygen supplies.

“When we approached the oxygen dealers in the town, we were told that the oxygen is only meant for a few hospitals,” he said, adding that the dealers asked them to get it in writing from authorities if they wanted supplies.
“We have been facing this problem for the past 3-4 days,” he said.
