Ghaziabad: The body of a 30-year-old steel trader was found in the post-mortem house in Noida, three days after he went missing from home. Cops said Sandeep Yadav, a resident of Kavi Nagar, had met with a road accident on NH-9 near Chipyana village. The Greater Noida police got the autopsy done as they had failed to identify the youth. However, his family has now identified the body, police said on Friday. Abhay Mishra, the circle officer of Kavi Nagar, said, “Around 8pm on Monday, Sandeep had gone out for a stroll after having dinner. When he didn’t return to his house after a long time, his family members started a search operation. Later they approached the Kavi Nagar police station and a missing person’s report was subsequently registered by the cops.” Officials said the Ghaziabad police on Monday night got the last location of Sandeep’s mobile on Bulandshahr Road near the industrial area. But when a police team went to the area later that night, they could not trace him. The Ghaziabad cops subsequently sent the details of the missing youth to their counterparts in neighbouring districts. “The autopsy report of the body is awaited,” said a senior police officer. Family members, however, suspect that Sandeep was murdered by someone.
