As always, once again IPL 2021 has made Star Sports Hindi as the No. 1 channel across genres. Not only this, all Top 5 shows on television last week are the live broadcast of the IPL matches. Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders, Match No. 5 OF IPL 2021 is the most watched program of Week 15th – 10th April to 16th April.
It is worth noting that the 1st game of IPL 2021 between Mumbai Indians & Royal Challengers Bangalore delivered lower ratings in comparison to IPL 2020.
IPL 2021 Week 1 BARC Ratings: According to the data released by BARC for Week 15th, no other channel, genre could match the power of LIVE Cricket. Such is the domination of IPL 2021 on Indian television that all matches played during 10th April to 16th April were rated above any other program.
The battle between Rohit Sharma (MI) & Eoin Morgan’s (KKR) finished as No. 1 program and Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals match was close second. The match between Chennai Super Kings & Delhi Capitals was rated as No. 3 show on Indian television.
IPL 2021 Live Broadcast – Now also to broadcast on Star India: The ratings for IPL 2021 is all set to improve further as Disney-Star India, the official broadcaster of Vivo IPL 2021 had declared that Sunday matches will also be broadcasted LIVE on their flagship channel STAR PLUS.

Disney+ Star has been airing live matches across over its 17 channels and in 8 languages. From April 18, the ongoing fourteenth edition of VIVO IPL live matches has been airing on its leading GEC Star Plus. To ensure Star Plus’ millions of viewers get access to ‘great cricketing action from IPL 2021’ Disney-Star India airs live matches on Sundays at the 7 pm time slot, as mentioned in its official statement. The first match on the Hindi GEC was Delhi Capitals versus Punjab Kings on April 18 – this means the ratings will further see the upswing.
