Gujarat is set to get 11 new oxygen plants in a short time, Union home minister Amit Shah said on Saturday.
Shah inaugurated a 280-litre oxygen plant in Kolvada Ayurvedic Hospital in Gandhinagar on Saturday and told the media thereafter that, as part of efforts to meet the demand for oxygen, the state will soon get new 11 PSA oxygen plants. The plants, which have been already sanctioned by the Centre, will start working soon, he said.
A 1,200-bed hospital with 600 ICU beds will also be available soon, with the help of Tata Sons and Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO), he said.
Earlier, on Friday, Shah had visited the 900-bed hospital for Covid patients at Gujarat University Convention Centre. “Gujarat will never forget the help of Union home minister Amit Shah in this stressful times,” said chief minister Vijay Rupani.
