“Steel plants have supplied 1.43 lakh metric tons of medical oxygen to different states,” says union minister Dharmendra Pradhan
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, on Saturday, says that several steel plants are pitching in with the efforts of supply of oxygen to different states. Additionally, Delhi and Maharashtra CM thanked the Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik for assisting them with the supply of oxygen.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, on Saturday, makes it known that amid the massive surge in Covid-19 cases in the country, steel plants from across the country have already supplied 1.43 lakh metric tons of medical oxygen to different states till now.
Pradhan said, “The steel plants from across the country have already supplied 1.43 lakh metric tons of medical oxygen to different states with the central public sector enterprises in the steel sector contributing about 39 thousand metric tons of medical oxygen till now”, as quoted by ANI.

Pradhan also adds that the steel fraternity stands with the nation in such a critical time of the pandemic under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Further, efforts are being pushed in order to boost up the supply of medical oxygen.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan added, “Both the Rourkela steel plant and Tata steel plant in Odisha have already supplied about 70 metric tons of medical oxygen to Delhi. and Maharashtra,” as quoted by ANI.
Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Maharashtra CM Udhhav Thackeray have expressed gratitude towards Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for assisting them with the proper supply of oxygen to their respective states.
As the situation in the country is deteriorating day by day, there’s been observed a rise in demand for oxygen supply in various states. Even, the national capital is struggling with the lack of oxygen.
Though recently the centre has assisted Delhi with the supply of oxygen and CM Kejriwal, in a press conference, expressed benignity towards the central government for the same.
Availability of oxygen is a key element in the treatment of Covid-19 infection.
