My ex-wife had her mother stay with us 4 or 5 times a year for durations of a few days to a full week and change. Some of the most nightmarish times of my life. Hated being in my own home when it was happening. Of course there was no negotiating any aspect about these stays, or my ex would get super offended and pissed about it. I'd laugh my asss off if I ever got serious enough with a new woman to move her into my house and she tried telling me to tolerate that bs.

She was an addict at places like Value Village and was constantly buying crap that she would promptly put in the basement. And it was all garbage that she never used or needed. Always claimed she was going to sell it, use it, whatever. It was all junk.

When she moved out she needed a moving truck just for the basement to get rid of it all. Had to hire movers twice.

Damn man, I can relate to that better than I'd like to admit. I'm a neat freak, but my ex-wife was a semi hoarder, srs. I couldn't fkn keep up with her tendancy to buy stupid chit and let entire rooms go to chit. We had a fkn 5 bedroom house with a garage, shed, and basement storage room, yet she still managed to let all kinds of bullchit pile up.

In fact, one of the final straws that made her decide to leave me was when I cleared out one of our spare bedrooms that she had filled with fkn YEARS worth of junk mail. I actually sorted through the chit and made sure I saved anything that looked even remotely important to make sure I didn't accidentally toss something I shouldn't have. Wound up saving 2 big boxes full of mail to sort through with her later to make sure it wasn't important. When she realized I had done that, she flipped the fuk out on me and threw one of the worst tantrums I've ever seen out of a woman, despite me telling her I made sure to save anything even possibly important. I thought she was going to be happy lol.

She promised to help me clean up the house clutter when she left, which she was 90% responsible for. Of course, all she did was have a few of her male relatives come over and take what she wanted, and she left me to clean up after her entire semi-hoard. Over a year later, I've gotten almost all of it done by filling my garbage and recyling bins to the brim every garbage pickup day, and I will have it finished off once my spring cleanup city free dumping day comes in a month or so.

No idea why I didn't realize it sooner. The bitch had years and years worth of fkn mail, school chit, and other pointless bs saved from over the years even when we first started dating. Guess I figured she'd wise up and get rid of the chit; clearly that was a stupid belief on my part. Hell, I'm STILL finding old college papers/books/mail/etc. of hers she left behind in random odd places to this day. I can only imagine what her current place looks like when she's been gone for over a year without someone there to keep her hoarding tendancies in check.

Beats the chit out of me. She even complained about it sometimes when we had our kid, bitching about how her mother would get imposing about what she thought was the "right" way to parent a kid. There were more than a few times when I would try to put a limit on how long a stay was going to be, or tried putting my foot down outright about it because it was so random and ao frequent. Like I said, she always responded to that by getting super pissed off, and would even weaponize sex over it regaddless of how nice I tried to be about it. As for when her mother was actually there, I was always polite and accomodating for the sake of civility, so she had no excuse to be mad at me for that.

I really don't know why I tolerated that horse chit. Probably because I didn't want to to risk my marriage by pissing her off over her own mother and end up dealing with divorce, which happened anyway. I guess what I learned is lol at marriage these days, never again. Because if a live in girlfriend ever wanted to pull that type of chit on me, she'd know damn well I wouldn't have the legal ramifications of divorce threats hanging over my head. They actually have to negotiate with you like a normal adult when they don't have you handcuffed by marriage, especially when you're the one who owns the fkn house lol.

You mean aside from waking up and finding the toilet clogged because she farted out the chocolate apocalypse and thought oh sure standard plumbing can handle this

Not gonna lie, my ex blew up the bathroom pretty badly on a decently regular basis. What's funny to me is she'd bitch about it to no end when I stunk it up even if I sprayed it down to tamper down the stench. Meanwhile she'd just giggle and laugh her asss off when she dropped chocolate toilet anacondas that blew out half of the upstairs of the house straight into the kitchen while I gagged tried not to throw up from the profuse odors, and begging her to spray some fkn Fabreeze or something.

That's another thing. The next time a girl destroys my toilet with a load of toxic mud monkeys and doesn't have the basic decency to courtesy flush/spray it down to spare my sense of smell at least a little bit, she'd out the door. Srs, if I had a girl over and she just dropped a killer toilet dragon without remourse like that, I'd tell her to get out of my house immediately, no negotations.

Yeah, this is the fastest way to kill my attraction & sex drive for the girl. Another reason why I completely lose my sex drive for the girl that I spend too much time with. You start seeing her do nasty chit, and you no longer get aroused by her.

I don't understand how some men that are in an LTR/marriage can still get a boner for their partner.

she was always talking chit about her family, friends, coworkers, literally everyone in her life. we would be at a restaurant or bar and that's all she would talk about. always just killed the vibe so one day I told her off.. I was like "there is a time and place to vent but why tf are you doing it here and now". Then she got mad and stopped talking to me thinking I would apologize but I broke it off with her.. which she didn't take well at all. Took me over 2 years to fully get her off my back. But things are cool now and we make small talk and say happy birthday.

One of the most peaceful things ever was when she finally moved her crap and I had space again. Even then she left tons of her crap everywhere and I actually enjoyed putting it in boxes and leaving it in the garage. And then she got mad when I told her I did it. So yeah, I can relate.

In fact, she moved out five months ago and still has furniture here supposedly to sell. I'm using it so I don't care so yeah, free furniture. I sold her stupid bicycle though.
