Kalyan-Dombivli civic body to set up 2 oxygen generation plants

KALYAN: Looking at rising demand of oxygen for rising Covid-19 patients in twin Kalyan-Dombivli city, the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation have decided to set up two oxygen generation plants in city.
The two plants will be housed in KDMC-run Covid hospitals in Kalyan and Dombivli.
Dr Vijay Suryawanshi, Commissioner of KDMC said, 'Each plant will have a capacity to generate 175 to 200 cylinders of oxygen for 24 hours and i would like to appeal other private Covid hospitals in city to set up such plants at their hospitals".
The KDMC for same given contract to two private companies who will set up plants within 20 to 30 days. Meanwhile Dr Suryawanshi on Saturday held meeting of all staffs related to health and private doctors during which he has appealed private Covid-19 hospitals to get audit of fire, electric and oxygen system in to hospitals.
