Nizamabad: Covid-19 claimed the life of an elderly couple in the town of Gannaram in Nizamabad district. The woman died on Wednesday and the man died on Saturday morning.
The deceased were: Dyavra Shetti Gangaram (62) and his wife Lakshmi (60) belong to the Gannaram town of Indalwai. Lakshmi passed away on Wednesday due to Covid-19 during treatment at GGH and her husband Gangaram died on Saturday.
This is the fifth couple in the Nizamabad district who succumbed to it Covid-19 in the last one week.
