DMX's Casket Rides on Monster Truck En Route to Memorial Service - Watch Video

A memorial service for DMX was held on Saturday afternoon (April 24) and his casket was carried to the venue in a customized monster truck.

DMX’s Celebration of Life Memorial was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. and the event was streamed live on YouTube.

The late rapper’s funeral and “Homegoing Celebration” will air live on BET and on the network’s YouTube channel on Sunday (April 25) at 2:30pm ET.

“DMX is a musical icon whose impact was truly groundbreaking and transcended generations,” a network exec said in a statement. “The authenticity and transparency in his music were profound, creating a lane of his own that changed hip-hop forever. BET is proud to pay our respect to a legend and show our love and support to DMX‘s family during this difficult time.”

Only close friends and family members were invited to both events, though tons of people lined the streets outside Barclays Center. You can see those photos in the gallery.
