Covid-19: Himachal Pradesh reports 2,073 new positive cases; 24 deaths

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh reported 24 Covid-19 deaths and a record 2,073 positive cases on Saturday while 877 patients recovered.
The casualties were reported from Kangra (8), Hamirpur (5), Mandi (3) and Shimla, Solan and Chamba districts (2 deaths each) while one death each was reported from Una and Sirmaur districts.
The state has a total 86,138 confirmed positive cases of which 13,411 cases are active; 71,396 patients have recovered while 1,291 patients have died.
Of the total positive cases reported on Saturday, maximum cases were reported from Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur and Solan districts.
Of the 10,809 samplings done since Friday 7pm onwards, results of 4,189 samples were awaited.
So far total 14,40,233 persons have been tested for Covid-19 till date of which 13,49m906 persons have tested negative.
Positive cases were reported from Bilaspur district (184), Chamba district (31), Hamirpur district (194), Kangra district (360), Kinnaur district (7), Kullu district (92), Lahaul-Spiti district (5), Mandi district (265), Shimla district (269), Sirmaur district (207), Solan district (317) and Una (142) district.
