HyderabadThe Telangana High Court today expressed its dissatisfaction with the steps taken by the state government to curb Covid 19 virus. The HC asked the state hospitals to admit the patients on the basis of Covid symptoms.
When the government informed the HC that they perform 30,000 to 40,000 RTPCR tests every day, the HC refuted the claims by saying only 3.47 lakh RTPCR tests instead of 8.4 lakh tests since April 3rd. It asked the state government why he did not do the required number of tests. It called on the state government to admit the patients, even without the RTPCR tests, and added that the state government should publish media bulletins every day.
It asked the state government to increase the number of tests in the districts of Yadadri Bhongir, Nirmal, Jagitiyala, Kamareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri as these districts register a large number of positive cases.
The HK also asked the state government to set up rehabilitation centers for all the migrant workers of the state, except that it should form a special committee for the prevention of the virus. To make it clear that the introduction of night time is not enough, it has asked the state government to ensure that there is no movement of people in public places. It asked the state government to place restrictions on the organization of election meetings and conventions in the state.
The state government told the HC that the state has 1350, 108 ambulances and added that 450 ambulances serve the needy people after they have been called from them. To this, the HC asked the state government to promote the toll-free numbers 108 and 104 throughout the state and added that display boards should be installed at all government and private hospitals and diagnostic centers of the state.
