Senapati Police enforcing strict compliance of SOPs

The district Police under the supervision of M Pradip Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Senapati has been doing their best to give awareness to the public through loudspeakers.
It is also reported that awareness was given even in local dialects at Mao and Tadubi areas from time to time.
Basing on the new regulation given by H Gyan Prakash, Special Secretary (Home), Government of Manipur on April 20, 2021, the District Police personnel has been asking the populace to wear face masks in public places, to keep social distancing and practice the Covid Appropriate Behaviours so as to thwart the spread of COVID-19 with the second wave of Covid surging up in the State and the whole Nation.

Mention may be made that under the new regulation, "The Manipur Epidemic Diseases (Enforcement of Covid-19 Guidelines) amended Regulation, 2021 published in Manipur Gazette Extra Ordinary No 102, dated July 25, 2020, any person violating the guidelines and restrictions issued by the Manipur State Disaster Management Authority and the State Government in connection with Covid-19 pandemic shall be liable to impose certain penalties as Violation of Quarantine guideline- Rs 2,000 on each occasion; Failure to wear mask in public places- Rs 1,000; Failure to maintain social distancing in public places- Rs 400; Spitting in public places- Rs 1,000; Consumption of Paan, Gutka and tobacco in public places- Rs 400; Gathering in excess of authorized number of persons on ceremonies- Rs 20,000; Any other violation of guidelines- Rs 2,000.Speaking to the media person, Superintendent of Police, Senapati M Pradip Singh, IPS stated that the district Police has been enforcing the new protocol of the order where every passenger should bring negative results at Entry Point, Mao Gate.
The district SP mentioned that steps have been taken along the Maram-Peren road while imposing the similar regulations for any entry into the State.
Measures to restrict passengers travelling by auto rickshaw without mask including all shopkeepers to get vaccinated with covishield have been initiated.
The SP mentioned that imposing fines have already started for violators and would continue.
The district Police have been using loud speakers to give awareness to the people of Senapati.
