German parliament approves reform of Telecommunication Act

Friday 23 April 2021 | 08:43 CET | News
The German parliament has approved the reform of the Telecommunication Act with the votes of the CDU/CSU coalition and SPD. The reform introduced by the federal government creates a legal right to internet access, a promise agreed by the grand coalition government formed by the CDU/CSU and SPD. It also implements key parts of the EU's new Electronic Communications Code, which took effect at the end of 2020.
