Hyderabad, 23rd April 2021: As it expands its presence to over 12 cities, Hyderabad-based last mile delivery startup Pickkup has boosted its client list with a series of new collaborations with retail giants, e-commerce platforms as well as logistics service providers to offer its last mile delivery services across multiple cities.

With demand rapidly increasing for efficient last mile delivery services over the past year, the enterprise-focused startup has witnessed rising demand for its services from existing as well as new clients. With roughly 2-5 clients being added every month, Pickkup is now serving nearly 150 clients. The most recent additions to Pickkup’s growing client list have been retail companies Future Retail, Vijetha Retail and Happi Mobiles as well as logistics providers Shadowfax, Xpressbees and Delhivery.

“With e commerce orders surging in the post COVID economy, we have witnessed a rising demand for efficient last mile delivery services across multiple cities, including Tier II and III cities. This has catalysed us to launch an immediate expansionary push in multiple cities of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana along with Bengaluru and Chennai,” said Hemanth Chandra, Founder and CEO of Pickkup.

A significant push for expansion came from Pickkup’s existing clients who sought the startup’s services in other cities beyond Hyderabad. With order commitments already in place in multiple cities, Pickkup will start operations in over 10 cities of AP and Telangana by April end, Additionally, the organization is set to launch its Bengaluru operations this month with the unveiling of its office in the Karnataka capital. By July, Pickkup will start undertaking deliveries in Chennai.

“We have also locked new collaborations with a series of major enterprises, retail companies and logistics providers as they seek efficient last mile delivery services. With bigger brands trusting our services, we have witnessed a quicker rate of closure off late. In fact, we closed Shadowfax, Xpressbees and Delhivery in quick succession. Similarly, retail companies like Future Retail, Vijetha Retail, Happi Mobiles were also onboarded in quick succession. This will further bring down our cost of acquiring a client as we will attract clients through pull-through sales approach rather than push-through,” added Hemanth.

Having established a unique and profitable last mile delivery model in Hyderabad, Pickkup has witnessed stupendous growth in the post COVID period.

The new cities where Pickkup will start operations by April end include Rajahmundry, Vizag, and Bangalore.

Pickkup has registered a 30-fold rise in delivery volumes and a 10 fold revenue growth over the past 12 months, emerging as the fastest growing local delivery startup. With a daily order run rate of 2000, the startup is registering a 30% month on month volume growth.

Pickkup currently has a fleet of over 120 riders in Hyderabad and is looking to add ~50 new riders across the new target cities by April end.

Pickkup touched a revenue of INR 1.3 crore this financial year, growing at a tremendous 200% year on year. In March 2021, the startup completed a whopping 55,000+ deliveries.

A strong pipeline of customers along with rising revenues and order volumes have propelled the startup to a fast-growth trajectory. Pickup’s sector-agnostic model has been critical to its profitability and fast-paced growth. Adopting a horizontal model catering to enterprises across different sectors has helped the startup achieve high degree of efficiency and optimization
