Well, as someone who has handled multiple cracked screens, that's definitely a hardware issue and only a screen replacement can fix that. This occurs when there's a separation of glass and digitizer upon impact or a cracked screen. Using the phone at higher brightness levels or in a hot room or just turning off the screen momentarily subsidized the issue a bit but ultimately you would wanna get the screen replaced.

Just curious if you would yourself buy a phone for 20k! which:-
1. Has front n back glass cracked
2. Has a defective earpiece
3. Has a defective touch screen
4. Was released in 2017

If yes, then good luck with your sale!
If not, then probably quote a more realistic price for the same.

FYI cashify quotes 4810/- for the phone in the given condition.

Edit : hadn't selected ear piece not working. With it cashify quote comes to 2310/-

A local dealer offered me 16k for the same device. Hence i posted here. If there’s no interest and you feel that i am not selling it at the right price, mods may close this thread. I am more than happy to use it as my daily driver.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion but if I get the phone fixed, I will end up using it for another year. Plus the reality is that I don’t want to bother with the repair hassles.

Upon popular opinion, I am going to offer this phone for 16k for interested buyers. If even that sounds steep, I will rather keep it. People on OLX have offered me like 17-18k but I have said no due to time constraints.

I normally stay away from commenting in sales threads. However, since this one is already derailed, might as well step in.

A local dealer will fix the issues and sell it. Lets, hypothetically say it costs the local dealer 6k to fix. So a dealer spends 16k + 6k to fix. = 22K. Sells it for 24K
A person buying this (Assuming, for the sake or argument, ends up going to the same dealer you went to). Now the dealer, on repair, will also have a margin.
The dealer charges you 8k for repair. So, a buyer will end up spending 20k + 8k = 28k

For this deal to make sense to an individual buyer, it has to bought at a price *lower* than what a dealer offers you. Which, I concede, doesnt make sense for you.

So my advice will be to do either of these (in no particular order) :
>) use it as it is (assuming it doesnt bother you)
>) sell it to the dealer
>) fix it and sell it

you can check facebook...in delhi i found one for going around 18k with everything and without any issue.....though on olx those having face detection issue go for 14-20k and hey people mark price as they seem fit thinking it is apple and everyone will buy at their quoted price even if it has issue..... but still i just pointed that there are available devices on fb and olx for lesser price......how much do you think repairs will cost?

Out of all these options, using it makes more sense to me since the phone works fine and is barely used since i use my mac for all communication and its always on so my WhatsApp, mails and even phone calls get routed to the mac and i feel more comfortable answering through the laptop itself.

I guess mods can lock this thread, I will continue to use the device then.
