Karnataka weekend curfew: Bengaluru Metro services to remain closed on Saturdays, Sundays till May 4

On weekdays, metro train services will commence as usual at 7am.
BENGALURU: In the wake weekend curfew in the state, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Friday decided to suspend services on Saturdays and Sundays till May 4.
"Metro train services will be closed for the whole day in view of the weekend curfew," said BMRCL chief public relations officer B L Yashavanth Chavan, in a release.

On weekdays, metro train services will commence as usual at 7am. However, the last service from the terminal stations including Nagasandra, Silk Institute, Mysuru Road and Byappanahalli stations will be at 7:30pm from Monday (April 26). At present, services are available till 9:30pm.
"The last services will have connecting trains at Kempegowda Metro station to other lines. Public are requested to maintain strictly prescribed Covid-19 protocols of maintaining social distancing, wearing of mask and hand hygiene", the release said.
