AT&T Mexico losses widen to 10% in Q1, subs stable

Thursday 22 April 2021 | 14:43 CET | News
AT&T Mexico reported revenues of USD 631 million in the first quarter of 2021, down 10.1 percent year on year following a 5.2 percent decline in the previous quarter. The US company attributed the Mexican unit's result to lower service and equipment revenues partly reflecting foreign exchange pressures. Service revenues were down 6.0 percent year on year to USD 439 million, with equipment revenues slumping 18.6 percent to USD 192 million. Operating losses came in at USD 134 million in the January to March period compared to the USD 145 million loss posted in the year-earlier quarter.
