Microsoft, Met Office to develop new UK supercomputer

Microsoft has signed a multi-million pounds contract with the Met Office to build a supercomputing capability for weather and climate forecasting in the UK. This new facility will be twice as powerful as any other in the UK, and be in the top 15 supercomputers worldwide.
