COVID-19: The evening bell in T’gana has a negative effect on the sale of Ramzan

Hyderabad: A sudden nightmare in the light of the boom COVID-19 cases in Telangana have created many problems for city traders.

The Ramzan sale last year was negatively affected as a result of the closure, and traders and businesses suffered huge losses.

The city traders hoped that this Ramzan season would have a cheer for them without it having a restriction on the shopping movement.

And in light of the decline in new business until last month, these traders ordered new shares for the sale of Ramzan. They hoped that the bumper sale this year would compensate for the losses they suffered last year.

Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, the state government had to set night time. The KCR government was not in favor of the curfew rule, but had to agree with the Supreme Court’s instruction in this regard.

The Supreme Court started an evening bell again from 5pm, but in light of special Ramzan prayers and merchant interests, the government set the 9-hour time limit.

Charminar and its surrounding areas are the main centers for Ramzan stores. Some people started buying before the start of Ramzan this year.

The main shopping took place during the nights of Ramzan due to a day of fasting and hot weather. But due to the recently introduced night clock, the shops close their shutters by 20:00.

Nampally, Mallepally, Mehdipatnam, Tolichowki, Shaikhpeth and other urban areas are the main hubs of Ramzan stores.

City retailers – large and small – hope that people will do their shopping during the day, which will enable them to at least do business.
