Hyderabadi techie develops ‘Meet Hour’ – a new video calling app

Hyderabad: An urban IT engineer has developed ‘Meet Hour’ – a video conferencing app – that enables organizations and individuals to hold a virtual meeting with security and ease.

At a time when work from home has become a new norm, Shoeb Ahmed Farid used his lockout time to develop this app that helps users meet online, teach, train and video / webinar presentation.

“This app with HD video and audio conferencing, screen sharing, content sharing, fundraising and other powerful features can be widely used by organizations, government and education departments and others for training, healthcare, finance, military and community purposes,” Shoeb said . Ahmed, the chief technical officer of this app.

Shoeb Ahmed said this information was developed by a team of four IT experts. Work on this app began in mid-March 2020 and on August 10, 2020, it was launched on three platforms, including web, Android and iOS.

“The ‘Meet Hour’ app has 4.5 stars in Playstore and 4.4 stars in iOS,” said Shoeb Ahmed, explaining the app’s popularity. “Meet House is the second most downloaded app after Zoom. This information can be presented on the client’s server. The app has many users who use the free version in India, Middle East and USA. ”

Shoeb Ahmed said clients in India, the US and the UAE used ‘Meet Hour’ in healthcare and schools. “Our team is in talks with many schools, colleges, government agencies, healthcare providers, law firms, politicians and faith communities to explain to them about the usefulness of this information,” Shoeb Ahmed said.

“Schools and colleges can hold their online classes through the ‘Meet Hour’ app, faith communities and politicians can use it for their virtual meetings and individuals for their family reunification,” explains Shoeb Ahmed.

“Currently, our team has four members,” co-founder Shakoor Ahmed informed. “Apart from myself and Shoeb Ahmed, who is chief technology officer and product officer, there are two others – Rajan Nataraj and Vijay Veerappan who are funding this startup.”

Speaking about the unique feature of the app, Shakoor Ahmed said: ‘We try to simplify this app to enable anyone from a teenager to a senior citizen in his nineties to use it for long hours without any time limit, while Zoom a free conference for just 45 minutes. ”
