Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Thursday slipped 231 pts to 47,474.41 in the opening session as selling was seen in Bankex, Metal, Industrials and Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services stocks.
The Nifty too declined by 49.45 pts to 14,246.95.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 47,565.03 and 47,204.50 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,271.35 and 14,151.40 respectively.
The Mid Cap fell by 0.21 pc while the Small Cap rose by 0.29 pc.
In 30 scrips 10 advanced while 20 declined.
The losers were IndusInd Bank by 3.10 pc to Rs 818.65, Asian Paints by 2.41 pc to y 2494.10, Hind Unilever by 2.36 pc to Rs 2336.70, M& M by 2.25 pc to Rs 792.15 and Titan by 2.08 pc to Rs 1491.25.
The gainers were Dr Reddy by 1.67 pc to Rs 5241.15, ONGC by 1.17 pc to Rs 104.05, ITC by 0.76 pc to Rs 205.10, HCL Technology by 0.58 pc to Rs 967 and Bajaj Auto by 0.55 pc to Rs 3619.70.
