When the entire country is battling the COVID-19 pandemic and several states running short of vaccines, Kangana Ranaut apparently found this crisis as some sort of a laughing matter. But angry fans made sure the Manikarnika actress gets her jab of brutal trolling. Also Read - Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke actor Vatsal Sheth tests POSITIVE for COVID-19
Kangana, as usual, campaigned for PM Narendra Modi on Twitter by blaming a certain section of the people, whom she deemed as anti-nationals, for allegedly spreading rumours about COVID-19 vaccines. She said that these 'anti-nationals' are now desperate to get vaccinated. She agreed that the current situation is tragic, however, she also found some parts of it amusing. Reacting to a tweet about COVID-19 vaccine, Kangana wrote, "A friend of mine who got first jab got covid positive, he says it felt too mild so it definitely works, interestingly PM has been requesting everyone who was eligible to get vaccination, huge stocks got expired because of rumours spread by antinational elements, what to do !!" She continued, "Now these anti national elements are desperate for the same vaccine they never wanted and campaigned against .... ha ha ha then you all hate me for laughing.... I agree it’s all very tragic but some of it is amusing as well .. ha ha ha."
Her tweets didn't go down well with the netizens who shamed Kangana for her insensitive behaviour and laughing over the vaccine crisis during these unfortunate times.
"How can you laugh during these desperate times. Shame," one Twitter user wrote while another user called her anti-national. An angry user said, "Sickening comment. What is wrong with you?" while another user commented, "Only one person can laugh in today's travesty.when #India records the highest ever single day figure of more than 3,10,000 and that is national award self obsessed winner."
On a day when India recorded 3.14 Lakh Covid cases and over 2,104 deaths in a day, the Supreme Court on Thursday took suo motu cognisance of Covid management and sought a national plan from the Centre on supply of oxygen, essential drugs supply and method and manner of vaccination. The top court took cognisance of Covid management, when High Courts across the country are hearing petitions in connection with crisis of oxygen supply, hospital beds and shortage of the anti-viral drug Remdesivir in hospitals.
