Delhi reported 26,169 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Thursday. The national capital's tally of active cases now stands at 91,618 while the infection rate is 36.24 per cent as per the latest figures.
The national capital tested 72,208 samples for coronavirus, using 48,346 Rapid Antigen and 23,862 RT-PCR tests, between Wednesday and Thursday. A total of 1,65,56,208 samples have been tested for Covid-19 in Delhi to date.
According to the Delhi government's health department, the national capital also recorded 306 coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours. This is the highest number of Covid deaths reported in Delhi in a single day since the beginning of the pandemic last year.
The novel coronavirus has claimed 13,193 lives in Delhi to date. The case fatality rate (CFR) among patients in the national capital now stands at 1.38 per cent.

A total of 19,609 patients were discharged from hospitals in Delhi after recovering from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients in Delhi has fallen to 89.04 per cent. This was the lowest on November 13 of last year at 89.1 per cent.
While the percentage of active cases among confirmed cases of infection is 9.57 per cent, a total of 46,585 Covid-19 patients are in home isolation across the national capital.
This is the first time since October 30 of last year that the percentage of active cases is nearing the peak of 9.88 per cent.
More than 22,000 containment zones have been notified in Delhi in a bid to break the chain of transmission. The Delhi government is also enforcing a curfew till April 26.
Delhi has reported a total of 9,56,348 confirmed cases of infection to date. This includes the 8,51,537 patients who have recovered from Covid-19 in the national capital.
