Airtel Africa signs new USD 500mln loan facility to part-pay bond due in May

Wednesday 21 April 2021 | 10:51 CET | News
Airtel Africa said it has signed a new USD 500 million loan facility with a group of relationship banks, ShareCast reported. The FTSE 250 company said it is a combination of a revolving credit facility and term loans, with tenor of up to four years. It said the facility would be used to partially refinance its EUR 750 million euro-denominated bond due 20 May, the rest of which will be repaid with existing group cash, to reduce gross debt and associated interest costs.
