CAS Bhadauria in France discusses operational exchanges, expanding ties with FASF

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) Chief of Air Force Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria on Tuesday discussed operational exchanges between the Indian Air Force and France's Air and Space Force.

India is reported to be receiving another batch of Rafale Jets next month.

In talks with FASF Chief Gen Philippe Lavigne, CAS Bhadauria discussed ways to expand cooperation between the two sides, the IAF said.

Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria is on a five-day visit to France from Monday.

"Air Chief Mshl RKS Bhadauria visited @Armee_de_lair HQs & called on Gen Philippe Lavigne to discuss op issues common to the two Air Forces. The Chiefs noted the steady growth of operational exchanges & explored avenues to expand IAF- FASF ties," The IAF said in a tweet.

IAF and the FASF have engaged in the bilateral air exercise series ‘Garuda’, as well as hop exercises, the last being Ex Desert Knight 21 held at the Air Force Station Jodhpur in January 2021.



Last month, the two also participated in Exercise Desert Flag hosted by the UAE Air Force along with other friendly countries.

Gen Philippe Lavigne visited India last year.
