Besides this, 17 people have also died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the state's Covid-19 bulletin said.
At present, there are 9,300 active cases in Goa.
Earlier in the day, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said his government is will impose certain stringent restrictions to control the rise in Covid-19 cases. He however ruled out the possibility of imposing a complete lockdown in the state.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that imposition of a lockdown should be the last option. Lockdown will not control coronavirus. We have to impose some restrictions to control the situation," Pramod Sawant was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
Goa reported a total of 69,312 coronavirus positive cases until April 20 while the overall death toll stood at 926.
"Deaths are occurring in Goa because COVID-19 patients are arriving late at hospitals for treatment," the chief minister said and attributed the rise in cases to extensive testing in the state.
