Large number of security personnel of CRPF, BSF and other Central Armed Police Forces are deployed in Maoist affected areas of the state. While taking a virtual meeting of collectors and senior police officers of all the seven districts of Bastar division of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has instructed to ensure Covid-test of the paramilitary force personnel returning from leave at the entry point itself.

He said that jawans should be allowed to go to their camps, only after being kept in a quarantine center or in isolation as per Covid protocol.

The Chief Minister has directed the Inspector General of Police of Bastar Range to keep track of all the jawans returning from the leave and arrange a separate vehicle to take them to the camps.

The Chief Minister has also asked to ensure that the jawans returning from vacation do not use any means of public transport to reach the camps. Besides, the Chief Minister has also directed to start the work under MGNREGA and collection of Small Forest Produce following the Covid Protocol to provide employment to the people during lockdown in tribal areas.
