In May 2021, Netflix has plenty of new content headed to subscribers, including plenty of original movies, TV shows, and docs. These selections range from the highly-anticipated action horror movie Army of the Dead to another season of the Castlevania animated series. Check out the full list below, along with some recommendations.

Zack Snyder returns to the land of the undead on May 21 with Army of the Dead. The film takes place during a zombie apocalypse where a group of thieves have to break into a Las Vegas vault to steal a bunch of money. Who doesn't love a good heist movie, especially when the undead are involved? The newest trailer for Army of the Dead shows off all the action, and a zombie tiger.

Another big release is Season 4 of the animated series Castlevania, on May 13. This will be the final season of the show based on the video game franchise of the same name. We'll finally get to see how this all wraps up before the book is closed on this story for good. Luckily, there is reportedly already a spin-off for the show in the works--but writer Warren Ellis won't be involved with those.

If you're looking for something a bit more familiar to rewatch, Netflix is releasing a bunch of movies on May 1. You can relive the adventures of Marty McFly with all three Back to the Future Movies or watch one of the coolest sci-fi movies of the '90s, Stargate that day as well. Or if you need more zombies in your life, but you aren't interested in Army of the Dead, Resident Evil: Afterlife and Extinction land on the first day of May as well.

Check out the full list of Netflix titles below. The company recently revealed that it's hit 208 million paid subscribers, and it will spending $17 billion on content for the entirety of the year.
