Air India cancels flights between India and UK

New Delhi: Amidst the COVID-19 boom, Air India canceled all its flights to and from the UK from 24 to 30 April after the UK added India to its “red list”.

In a statement, Air India said: ‘Passengers traveling between India and the UK may note that flights to or from the UK have been canceled from 24 April to 30 April due to the recent restrictions announced by the UK word. ‘ Further updates regarding rescheduling, refunds and waivers will be notified later, he added.

It is said: “Between April 24 and April 30, we are planning a weekly flight from Delhi and Mumbai to the United Kingdom.” The information about this will also be updated on the Air India website and the social media channels, they said.

The UK added “red list” to India on a precautionary basis after 103 cases of a coronavirus variant first identified in India, Health Minister Matt Hancock said on Monday.

The British High Commission in India said the decision was to prevent the spread of concern variants and protect the most vulnerable.
