New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said that Centre has increased the national capital's quota of oxygen.
'Central govt has increased Delhi’s quota of oxygen. We are very grateful to centre for this,' Mr Kejriwal said in a tweet.
The Chief Minister's tweet came hours after Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, while addressing a digital press conference, appealed to the Central Government to increase the supply of oxygen in Delhi.
'The way COVID-19 cases have increased exponentially in Delhi and many patients from other
states have come to Delhi to get treated, there is a greater need for more and more oxygen supply in Delhi,' Mr Sisodia said and urged the Centre to increase Delhi's oxygen quota from 378 metric ton to 700 metric ton.
Delhi is currently reeling under severe Oxygen shortage crisis due to exponential rise in COVID cases from the past few days.
