Chennai: A court in Chennai on Wednesday rejected the preliminary bail application of actor Mansoor Ali Khan in a case registered by the police in Chennai against him, related to the dissemination of incorrect information against Covid vaccine and linked actor Vivekh’s death to taking the Covid vaccine.
The government petitioner argued before Chief Justice R. Selvakumar that the prior bail application should be rejected because the actor made irresponsible remarks.
The judge rejected the petition, saying that the petition did not contain information on the cases registered against Khan, and gave the actor freedom to file a new petition.
A health official from the Chennai corporation has filed a petition to take action against the actor over his irresponsible comments on the death of actor Vivekh. Mansoor AlI Khan said on Friday: ‘If actor Vivekh had not taken the vaccine, he would have been alive. During my election campaign, I slept on the street, shared food with beggars and I did not catch the virus. The government may not make masks mandatory. ”
The police in Vadapalani have registered a case against the actor based on the complaint of the health officer. The police discussed the actor in terms of sections 153, 270 and 505 (1) (b) on the Indian Penal Code, as well as the provisions of the Epidemic Act and the Disaster Management Act.
