Hyderabad: CII works with state governments to support MSMEs in overcoming the economic downturn by facilitating sectoral initiatives and policy interventions by state governments. It also works to sharpen the vaccination action with the support of member organizations. CII facilitated the establishment of vaccination camps in industrial areas and through this initiative more than 75 000 employees were vaccinated throughout the Southern region.
It will also work with member companies to solicit support for the establishment of temporary hospitals in collaboration with state governments, in addition to increasing oxygen production. ventilators, and other medical objects that are of great importance in dealing with the current crisis.

CII called on Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana to strictly enforce Covid protocols among the public, workplace and in industrial and commercial institutions. Food processing, textile, FMCG, medical and power supplies should be exempt from the restrictions and evening clock.
The NBFC sector must be brought under the essential services on the bank lines and allowed to function during evening clock / downtime. It is added that all employees working night shifts in the category of essential services should be allowed to travel without any restriction during the lock-up / night clock, according to a release.
