COVID-19 Tracker: Dharavi records 45 fresh positive cases

Mumbai's G/North ward which includes areas like Dharavi, Dadar and Mahim has 5291 active coronavirus cases

On a positive note, the cases in the Mumbai G/North ward saw a dip on Tuesday with 186 fresh coronavirus cases being recorded as compared to Monday's 245 cases. The total caseload in Mumbai's G/North ward reached 22740.

Mumbai's G/North ward which includes areas like Dharavi, Dadar and Mahim has 5291 active coronavirus cases. However, as many as 16784 people have recovered from COVID-19 and have been discharged from hospitals in the ward.

While Dharavi recorded 45 new coronavirus cases, Dadar and Mahim reported 54 and 87 fresh cases respectively.

The total number of cases in Dharavi stands at 6136. There are presently 915 active cases in Dharavi. However, 4893 patients have cured/discharged from hospitals in the area.

Dadar, on the other hand, has 2080 active coronavirus cases. The total caseload stands at 8243. In the area, 5989 people got cured and were discharged from the hospitals.


Mahim has a total of 8361 positive cases so far. The area has 2296 active cases and 5902 people were discharged post making full recovery in Mahim.

Meanwhile, due to rising coronavirus cases in the city and state, the Maharashtra government is eyeing to announce even stricter restrictions to contain the virus.
