Asansol Division was established in 1925. This is one of the oldest divisions on the Indian Railways and has always been in the forefront of operations, both freight and passenger. As far as Eastern Railway is concerned, Asansol Division is referred to as the heart of operations, being at the crossroads of the Grand Chord route via Gaya and the main line route via Patna. With a total of 683.44 route kilometers, the division has the unique distinction of having quadruple lines (two up and two down line) from Khana to Sitarampur.

Requisite Qualification : 10+2 in Science or its equivalent, with Diploma in Pharmacy from recognized institution and registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 (OR) Bachelor degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) from a recognized University or equivalent and Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy ACT, 1948.
T&C : Nature of Engagement : Purely on contractual basis up to 30.09.2021, or availability of regular incumbent or till further order is received from Railway Board, whichever is earlier. Vacancies as notified may differ subject to availability of re-engaged retired Railway para-medical staff. 3. Railway staff retired from Asansol Division of Eastern Railway can only apply. Last date of application is 27-04-2021. Screening Test will be done on 30.04.2021.
4. On joining of selected candidates from RRB/transfer, senior most re-engaged employees in terms of age will be dis-engaged first.
5. If any adverse report is given against the re-engaged employee during re-engagement by the Controlling Authority, then re-engaged employee will be dis-engaged forthwith without any prior notice.
6. Applicants should not have been Removed/Dismissed/Compulsarily retired from Rly. Service as a measure of punishment or voluntarily retired from Railway service.
7. Re-engagement shall be subject to prescribed medical fitness for the category in which they are re-engaged.
8. Suitability / Competency of the applicant shall be adjudged by nominated committee before re-engagement.
9. Monthly remuneration of a retired employee being re-engaged will be determined by reducing Pension from his/her last pay drawn (i.e. Basic Pay + DA.). Payment will be made strictly on no-work- no-pay basis.
10. The duty hours of the re-engaged employees would be as prescribed by Competent Authority as per the working conditions of the category.

Personnel Officer, Divisional Railway Manager’s Office, Eastern Railway, Asansol, PO-Asansol, PIN - 713301 and may be dropped in the Box kept at the E/Medical Section on week days only within 27.04.2021 up to 16.00 hours and applications thereafter will not be accepted or entertained. Screening Test will be on 30.04.2021 at 11:00 hrs at the chamber of Sr.DPO/E.RIy/Asansol Applications should be made in the proforma annexed as ANNEXURE - A.
