We hope to spark dialogue around personal experiences with autism in under-represented communities.
Keynote Speaker Emanuel Frowner (BCC alumnus ’03) will talk about his life experiences growing up in the Bronx as a BIPOC individual who was not diagnosed with ASD until his college years, and how receiving a diagnosis changed his life.
Next, EPIC Players Neuroinclusive Theater Company will present selections from their storytelling troop EPIC Underground, which consists of professional actors who identify as persons with disabilities. This will be followed by a post-performance discussion.
