Hyderabad: The pre-monsoon activity will continue in many parts of Telangana until April 21, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, issued a thunderstorm warning for several districts during the next 48 hours on Tuesday. The city saw sudden rain showers and heavy thunderstorms, and some places received moderate rainfall.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, Shanthi Nagar received the highest rainfall of 29 mm in Patancheruvu, followed by 6.3 mm at Ramachandrampuram and 4.5 mm at Vengalrao Nagar. The rainfall led to a drop in the maximum temperature to 37.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1.2 degrees Celsius below normal.
According to the IMD, the rain started from the trough that runs from Madhya Pradesh to Marathwada. ‘Under the influence of this, light to moderate rain is likely in isolated places in Telangana. After that, the temperature will probably rise by two to three degrees above normal, ”he predicted. Lightning thunderstorms are expected in the western parts of the Telangana. Thereafter, the temperature will rise with the maximum temperature expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius by 25 April.
Rain Tuesday in many parts of Hyderabad
Several parts of the city experienced thunderstorms, thunderstorms and lightning on Tuesday. Even though it was sunny until noon, the weather cooled down once and for all after 16:00 and the sky became cloudy and it rained. The suburbs of Jedimetla, Gajularamaram, Dundigal, Kapra, Suchitra, Kompalli, Qutbullapur, AS Rao Nagar along with Sainikpuri, Neredmet and other places received moderate rainfall.
