Petr Cech pleaded with thousands of angry Chelsea fans, who protested outside Stamford Bridge Stadium, blocking the team bus from entering, as the European Super League backlash continued to gather momentum.
The Blues were scheduled to take on Brighton and Hove Albion in a home Premier League fixture with the team bus arriving two hours before kick-off.
Much to their dismay, more than 1000 fans gathered outside the club's iconic stadium to protest against the recently assembled European Super League.
Cech, a technical and performance advisor at Chelsea, urged the fans to allow the team bus to enter the stadium.
