The BSE Sensex is at 48,478 (up 0.7%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BAJAJ FINANCE (up 3.6%), BAJAJ FINSERV (up 3.3%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 2.7%). Other gainers include M&M (up 2.2%) and SBI (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ONGC.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,527 (up 0.7%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BAJAJ FINANCE (up 3.8%), BAJAJ FINSERV (up 3.4%) and DR. REDDYS LAB (up 3.1%). Other gainers include INDUSIND BANK (up 2.7%) and TATA CONSUMER PROD. (up 2.5%).
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 30,603 to 48,478, registering a gain of 17,875 points (up 57.8%).
CIPLA net profit stood at Rs 8 billion for the quarter ended December 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 4 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 18.2% to Rs 51.7 billion during the period as against Rs 43.7 billion in October-December 2019.
For the year ended March 2020, CIPLA reported 2.5% increase in net profit to Rs 15.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 15.1 billion during FY19.
Revenue of the company grew 4.5% to Rs 167 billion during FY20.
The current Price to earnings ratio of CIPLA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 34.5x.
