Karnataka SSLC exam 2021 as per schedule, children of grades 1-9 to be assessed through CCE: Minister
Karnataka SSLC will be conducted as per schedule from June 21 - July 5.

BENGALURU: Students of grades 1-9 will be assessed based on the continuous and comprehensive evaluation that was conducted in the past year, said minister for primary and secondary education S Suresh Kumar.
The education department has released two separate guidelines-- one for classes 1-5 and the other for grades 6-9. As per the announcement, the progress of the children of classes 1-5 will be analysed at the school level and all students will be promoted to the next class. As TAC did not create an opportunity for these students to come to class, they will not be evaluated in any online or offline format, but be promoted. Students should not be asked to come to school for an evaluation.
For classes 6-9, there have been some forms of engagement that have happened throughout the year-- Vidyagama, television, online and physical classes. The students will therefore be assessed through the formative and summative assessments that have already been conducted this year. All students will be promoted to the next year. Those with deficiencies will be given a bridge course next year before the portions for that academic year begins.
The department has made it clear that CCE will be used only as a tool for teachers to understand the deficiencies of the children.
SSLC will be conducted as per schedule from June 21 - July 5.
The department also released the academic calendar for next year. This circular is subjected to revision as per the directions of the state government from time to time on covid protocols.
