Fitbit has expanded its smart wearables product portfolio with the launch of Fitbit Luxe. The device is a fashion-forward fitness and wellness tracker which comes with features like stress monitoring, 24x7 heart rate tracking and up to 5 days of battery life.

Fitbit Luxe: Price and availability

Fitbit Luxe is priced at Rs 10,999. It will be available in India at Fitbit India website along with offline retailers this spring. It comes with six-months of Fitbit Premium free trial.

Fitbit Luxe Special Edition, on the other hand, comes with a price tag of Rs 17,999. It will be available in India soon, with worldwide availability this spring.

Fitbit Luxe: Specs

Fitbit Luxe comes with a touch screen display and features a ‘jewellery-like look and feel’. The company says that the tracker comes with “a soft, gentle shape inspired by the human body that sits lightly on your wrist”. It says that it has used a metal vaporizing technique on the soft gold and platinum finishes to provide a premium look to the smart band.

Fitbit has launched a special edition of the tracker. It has partnered with Laguna Beach-based jewellery brand Gorjana to further elevate Luxe’s style. The special edition comes with a Parker Link Bracelet in soft gold stainless steel and a swimproof classic silicone peony band.

Health features available on the smart band include automatic activity and sleep tracking, stress management and heart-rate monitoring. Users can get insight into their key wellbeing data through the Health Metrics dashboard in the Fitbit app. The dashboard tracks breathing rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate (RHR), and skin temperature variation. Fitbit says that the Oxygen saturation (SpO2) tracking feature is coming soon to the device.

Fitbit Luxe is said to have a battery life of up to five days. The band will offer Fitbit Premium members access to a range of workouts and nearly 200 mindfulness sessions from popular brands like Aaptiv, Aura, Breethe and Ten Percent Happier to manage stress. This also includes Deepak Chopra’s Mindful Method.

Additional health tools available on the tracker include food, hydration and weight logging, and menstrual health tracking. Premium members will have access to more than 60 new pieces of nutrition content including curated healthy recipes from Fitbit and Eating Well magazine. Users can also track their blood glucose levels using the logging feature in the Fitbit app.

The tracker comes with 20 different on-wrist exercise modes including golf, pilates, spinning or tennis and running, biking or hiking. It also offers reminders to move to stay active and reduce sedentary time. There is also an Active Zone Minutes, a personalized standard for tracking activity beyond steps that measures your time spent in each heart rate zone.

Fitbit Luxe is compatible with Android and iOS phones along with Google Fast Pair.
