CHANDIGARH: Haryana on Tuesday recorded its highest single-day coronavirus cases at 7,811, taking the state's tally to 3,71,624.
The state also reported 35 Covid-19-related deaths, taking the toll to 3,483.
Haryana also saw recovery of 35 coronavirus patients.
Notably, 4,041 of the total cases reported during the day came from four districts - Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat and Jhajjar - bordering Delhi.
Besides proximity to New Delhi, health officials also claimed that increased testing as one of the reason for the increased numbers.
With the new figures, the state's Covid positivity rate has risent to 5.38% resulting in further dip in recovery rate to 85.67%. The death rate was recorded at 0.97%.
Gurugram reported highest 2,344 cases during the day which took the district's tally to 85,892 cases, including 387 deaths.
Faridabad reported 1,245 new cases taking its tally to 58,073, including 446 deaths.
