Usually, ensuring the well-being of citizens is partly the job of the government. We expect that in a crisis, the government will measure up and shield us. That our leaders will have the prescience to see what we can’t and warn us of dangers.

Our fellow Indians are falling like skittles, infected by Covid-19. Thousands are fending for themselves and their loved ones by arranging for everything there is a shortage of — life-saving drugs, hospital beds, oxygen cylinders and funeral slots.
