MORIGAON, April 19: Morigaon Police on Monday imposed fine on vehicle riders at Morigaon police point for failing to wear masks.

The police imposed a fine of Rs. 1000 each on more than 100 vehicle riders for ignoring Covid-19 protocol set by the district administration.

The district administration made an announcement regarding compulsory wearing of masks while stepping out of home, unfortunately the vehicle riders ignored the Covid-19 protocol.

Police on Monday carried out the drive at 8 am and it has been running till filing of this report.
