Simultaneously, the state government has also announced summer vacations for government schools.
Explain that given the corona virus epidemic crisis, all classes in Bengal were stopped from March 16, 2020. Meanwhile, online classes were continuing. At the same time, the schools were reopened on 12 February 2021, after a gap of about 11 months. However, the schools were reopened only for students from 9th grade to 12th grade. This decision was taken by the state government keeping in mind the upcoming board examinations.
According to media reports, soon after the CBSE canceled the examinations for Class 10 students and postponed the Class 12 exams, the West Bengal government said that an appropriate decision would be taken given the spurt in corona virus cases. However, till now the board has not taken any decision related to the cancellation or postponement of the examinations.
It is to be noted that the Secondary (Class 10) examination of the West Bengal Board is to be conducted from June 1 to June 10, 2021. At the same time, the examination of the Higher Secondary, i.e. 11th and 12th, is to be started from June 15 and concluded on July 2, 2021. The 12th class examination is to be held from June 15 to June 30 and the class 11 examination will be held from June 15 to July 2.
