UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has decided not to visit India amid Covid spike in the country.
"In view of the COVID19 situation, it has been decided by mutual agreement that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom will not visit India next week. The two sides will be holding a virtual meeting in the coming days to launch plans for a transformed India-UK relationship," the ministry of external affairs said in a statement.
Earlier, Boris Johnson had reduced the length of his trip to India as the country struggles to contain the rising number of Covid-19 cases.
